Fission is building an edge computing stack that lets developers add passwordless logins and encrypted files to their apps.

From building in TypeScript and Haskell, we're moving our toolchain to Rust + Wasm.

Why Rust?

Rust is a programming language designed to help developers control low-level details (like memory-usage, data representation, and concurrency) without needing to be an expert in this tricky area.

When Rust is combined with Wasm, developers are able to build browser-native libraries, run small and fast .wasm file sizes (because Rust lacks a runtime), and integrate easily with existing JavaScript tooling.

Join the movement and share your Rust + Wasm projects and learnings in Fission’s Discord community. We’re also hiring Rust protocol and platform engineers. You can learn more about open positions on our Careers page.
