We presented Fission's approach to local first apps on IPFS with the Fission publishing platform and webnative SDK.
Our guiding principle for using IPFS is: Everything should work in the browser, including on mobile, with no extensions required.
The Special Interest Group (SIG) focused on IPFS and local offline collaboration has its home base on Github, which you can follow for updates and future meetings.
The slides are available on IPFS of course »
A great quote from Brooklyn:
We're trying to make IPFS boring!
Meaning: it should just work, and be reliable, and provide great capabilities to developers and app users alike.
The two key links from follow up are:
- Leveraging ws://localhost provided by local IPFS node https://github.com/ipfs/in-web-browsers/issues/177
- Manifest file for IPFS gateway https://github.com/ipfs/go-ipfs/issues/6214
Thanks for inviting us to present!
